Dental Credentials for Dr. Anderson Gentle Dentist Dr. Anderson, born in 1950, was raised in the Northeast. He graduated in 1972, as a Distinguished Military Student and Distinguished Military Graduate on the Dean's List at Norwich University, the Nation's oldest private military academy.

He graduated in 1976 from the University of Pennsylvania with a D.M.D. The University of Pennsylvania, along with Harvard and Tufts, were the first institutions in the country to award the D.M.D. degree, which signifies that dentistry is a specialty of medicine.

While at the University, Dr. Anderson participated in numerous research projects in Oral Medicine and Radiology. He served as assistant to the Head of Clinical Affairs and was Vice-President of the St. George's Oral Cancer Society. He spent two years as a dental officer at Ft. Ord, California.

When Dr. Anderson was serving in the U.S. Army as a Captain, he specialized in the management of the apprehensive patient. He also received post-doctorate training in periodontics and prosthodontics.
