Our patient is a 24 year old University of Arizona student who fractured his tooth during a basketball game.

The original chip was bonded to the original tooth structure thereby eliminating the need to perform a root canal and install a new porcelain crown.

The fractured piece (chip) was dried out prior to reimplantation. It took about 2 days to rehydrate, finally resulting in a very satisfactory cosmetic appearance for the patient.
